I may have a solution now. I finally began large-scale grepping. Somehow I was missing this in the main log. Pound is betrying me. So, to start with, I did something silly. This _must_ be related to using a chroot() environ for pound. I went to the chroot dir, and I created 'etc/', and 'lib/'. I copied /etc/ld.so.cache, then I copied /lib/libgcc_s.so.*. This seems to have worked. I may actually remove this, or try disabling chroot entirely. I suspect that libgcc_s.so is safer than disabling the chroot().
